The Galactic Empire Sourcebook is meant to complement previous Star Wars D6 RPG resources; as well as introduce fully fleshed out new sections of the Empire – the Imperial Customs Service and Imperial Bureau of Taxation – which were only briefly mentioned in the original WEG source material.

The Imperial Army, Navy and Stormtrooper Corps will have rewrites done (as time permits) that incorporate their pre-Clone Wars, Clone Wars, and post-Clone Wars histories; something that wasn't possible for WEG to do in 1988, as they were forbidden from digging too deep into the prehistory of Star Wars under their contract with Lucasfilm.

The ultimate goal of this project is to gather together enough information from across the dozens of WEG Sourcebooks, to enable players and gamesmasters to quickly and efficiently run their own campaigns, rather than being forced to page across several books.
