- Open an image from the File menu. Turn on Preprocess on open to rotate, align, invert or adjust gamma before analysis. Use View › Zoom (or the 1×, 2×, 4× buttons) to enlarge it at any time; the scale and existing measurements are kept.
- Choose Scale › Set known distance, enter the distance, and click its two end points on the image. While any tool is active, a magnifier follows the cursor so you can place points precisely; turn it off with the Magnifier checkbox in the toolbar or View menu.
- Pick a tool from the Measure menu or the toolbar and click on the image. Each tool measures once; choose it again for another. A dashed preview and the status bar show the result before you click.
- Each measurement gets a label card that stays on top and inside the image. Change label size or hide pixel values in the View menu. Ctrl+Z removes the last point or measurement.
- For damage radii, enter up to four radii under Damage radius › Set radii, then click the point of impact.
